Hours:
Sunday: 11:00AM – 9:00PM
Monday–Thursday: 11:30AM – 9:00PM
Friday–Saturday: 11:00AM – 10:00PM

Other Locations? Yes—but the Wooster Street original is sacred ground. Stamford? Slick. Fairfield? Fine. Woburn? Brave. But Wooster Square is Earth... on most days. 🌍✨

Reservations? LOL. Have you tried the Vatican Museum? This is worse. (Yes, we’re kidding. But also not.)
Dress Code? Bow tie or basketball shorts—dealer’s choice.
Pizza Style? New Haven thin-crust apizza, coal-fired glory.

⚡ The Scene: Mother's Day Magic

Full honesty: I’d been to Modern (a tradition), Pepe’s (an even bigger tradition), and Zuppardi’s (a past favorite until a year or two ago). But Sally’s? Only a few times before. Always left underwhelmed.

Then came Mother’s Day.

Got there at 10:30 AM, expecting the usual mob. And boom—we were first in line. At Sally’s. On a Sunday. By 10:45, only one other group had joined. By 11:00, just twenty people. Divine intervention? Possibly. Thank you, mothers everywhere. 🌸

We were seated fast, ordered faster, and—shocker—service was lovely. First time that’s happened at Sally’s. Our waiter went out of his way: free mimosa (or fruit cocktail) and free tiramisu, all on the house. Courtesy of Mother’s Day… or maybe because they sensed a review incoming. 🤔

🍕 What We Ordered (and Devoured)

🔴 Tomato Sauce PieStill a Legend

This pie is glorious. Modern has a strong contender, no doubt—I'd say it's neck-and-neck. Pepe’s? Amazing overall, but the plain red doesn’t hit the same note. Zuppardi’s? Great for other pies, but no red sauce magic here.
Bottom line: Sally’s tomato pie still reigns supreme. 🔥

For our take on wonderful Modern,

🐚 White Clam PieNew Haven Classic, Kind Of

It’s subtle, like the Potato & Rosemary Special or the Garden Special, both of which I've ordered a few times in the past. Builds up. It’s good… but doesn’t quite hit escape velocity. Zuppardi’s white clam? Unmatched. Add lemon and it’s a masterpiece. Sally’s version? Solid, enjoyable, just not transcendent. ✨

🌶️ Calabrian StingerA Beauty Queen with a Punch

This pie is gorgeous. Like, take-a-photo-before-you-bite gorgeous. Spice is playful, salt is restrained (unlike Modern, which can go full sodium-bomb). The only knock? The heat overwhelms the other flavors. A bit less sting = more balance. Still worth the ride. 🚛💥

🍰 TiramisuAn Unexpected Star

Pepe’s has a great one. Sally’s? Sublime. Smooth, sweet, dreamy. A perfect finale. Don’t skip it. Your sweet tooth will thank you. 🦷❤️

🧠 Final Thoughts (Unfiltered)

Sally’s has still got it. The tomato pie is still divine. The clam pie—fine, not iconic. The stinger? Eye candy and fire. And the tiramisu? 🍰✨ Yes, per favore.
