Time to Fly to Egypt? 🛫🏺
After two decades of construction (yes, two), the Grand Egyptian Museum finally opened its doors in November 2025 — and it did not come to play. Sitting just two kilometers from the Giza pyramids, the GEM is now the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization, housing 100,000+ artifacts spanning ancient Egypt’s greatest hits.
The real headline? King Tut gets his own mic drop. Two entire halls now display over 5,000 Tutankhamun artifacts together for the first time ever, including the legendary golden mask and three nested coffins — one made of 110 kg of solid gold. Minimalist decor was clearly not a thing in the Eighteenth Dynasty.
History, scale, and awe — all in one place. Which raises a very modern question: is it time to fly to Egypt? Possibly. Maybe after selling a few Barrick Mining shares… ⛏️😉
Carpe Diem: seize the past — before boarding closes.
